Reading how a putt will travel on a green is an art. After all, half of our strokes around a golf course are on the green so we need to make sure we get them right. Since we putt more than anything else, it has the biggest impact on your handicap.

- park your cart or bag closest to the exit from the green to the next hole (so you don’t have to walk back and pick it up)
- as you approach the green, look how it angles
- when you mark your ball, pay attention to how green slopes and the grain direction

- if you don’t drain your putt, either mark it quickly or play it out
